The mission of our ceramic studio...

Goes beyond just teaching ceramics. At Tochka, we’ve built a cosy retreat for our local community. It's a place where people come to relax, connect with clay, and simply be in the moment.

The earth is our medium...

Sustainable Materials:

We get our prime materials from responsible suppliers. Our clay supplier is committed to sustainable mining and to recultivating the land they work on. Glazes that we use are mixed in our studio by ourselves, which helps to eliminate packaging and make sure they are non-hazardous. We fire pots to a high temperature (stoneware), so all of them are high-quality and last for a long time.

Waste Management:

We don't throw away any clay or glaze. Everything that comes to our studio gets recycled and reused, even fired pots. How? Come over and we'll teach you! The most exciting part: from all the workshop's waste we create a Circular Tableware Collection, these wonderful minimalist mugs, cups and bowls are for sale in our studio.

Mindful Consumption:

Most of the things you'll find in our studio are not new: we buy second hand furniture, we source plastic buckets from a local restaurant, we reuse the packaging from our suppliers, we wrap fired pots in old newspapers, and we make tools ourselves.

Energy Saving:

We use electric kiln and fire our ceramics efficiently. Our kiln is never going half empty, it's always packed very efficiently, well isolated and fires economically. All other appliances in the studio are also used mindfully.
