My dear ceramic enthusiasts, I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you all: our first-ever student exhibition is on the horizon. "Ουροβόρος: The Circle of Life" - the fist Tochka’s student exhibition - will take place in our studio on June 29-30, 2024. Any work made in our studio can participate!
You might be wondering, why did we decide to arrange an exhibition? Well, firstly, it's an incredible opportunity to introduce our students to the world of art beyond functional ceramics. We wanted to encourage them to explore their creativity freely and express themselves through their unique creations.
We also saw this exhibition as a chance to foster a sense of community among our students. Bringing everyone together to celebrate their achievements and support one another is what it's all about. And of course, we wanted to create a memorable event where our students could proudly showcase their work to their friends and family. There's something truly special about seeing your creations on display for all to admire.
Our First student exhibition has a theme - "Ouroboros: The Circle of Life." We invite you to explore the symbolism of the Ouroboros — an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail, representing the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
Together with the curator of the exhibition - Ksenia Kudasova - we encourage you to draw inspiration from the symbol of Ouroboros and explore the themes of interconnectedness of all events, transformation, continuity, regeneration, the cyclical nature of existence, the eternal renewal of life and other related topics that spark your creativity.
Now, let me assure you, we're pulling out all the stops to make this exhibition a miniature version of a real-world gallery experience.
We've chosen a captivating theme, enlisted the help of a talented curator, and we'll even be awarding prizes to our standout creators.
And what's a gallery opening without a little wine? We'll be kicking off the exhibition with a grand opening celebration, complete with a toast to our incredible artists. At the opening we will announce 3 winners who will get prizes from the studio!
So, to all our budding ceramicists out there – whether you're an experienced potter pro or just starting out – I invite you to join us in this celebration of creativity. Your masterpiece could be the star of the show!
